CNR Basketball drops 95-52 decision to Albertus Magnus College

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- In the Championship Game of the 2012 Blue Angel Tip-Off Tournament, the Blue Angels were defeated by Albertus Magnus College this afternoon at The Wellness Center.

The first half started out in back-and-forth fashion until, with the Falcons leading by two, 22-20, with 6:03 remaining in the opening stanza, Albertus Magnus closed out the half on an 18-8 run to take a 40-28 lead into the break.

The Falcons opened the second half on a 10-0 run to open up a 50-28 lead with 18:13 remaining. The lead did not drop below 19 the rest of the way en route to a 95-52 win.

Freshman Jasmin Brandon paced the Blue Angels with 22 points, adding seven rebounds. Junior Holly Cammarota chipped in with eight point and seven rebounds.

Brandon and sophomore Alyssa Pechin were named to the All-Tournament Team.
