Nancy Paulsen, president and publisher of Nancy Paulsen Books, donated 1,000 new books to the Davis Library Media Center during a recent visit to Davis Elementary school.
Paulsen made the gift in loving memory of her daughter Molly Friend, a former Davis student, Hofstra University graduate, and inspiring teacher, according to information from the City of New Rochelle School District’s facebook page.
Present to help celebrate the generous donation were students, Mayor Noam Bramson, Board of Education Vice President Rachel Relkin, Davis principal Michael Galland, assistant principal Anthony Bambrola, librarian Mindy Hochberg, teacher Carol Kelly, and Parent Teacher Association members.
Nancy Paulsen started Nancy Paulsen Books, a division of Random House Young Readers Group, in 2011.
