NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Faye Berliner Kantor LEBANON Faye Berliner Kantor, 88, formerly of New Rochelle, N.Y., passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Cornwall Manor, Cornwall. She was the wife of the late Seymour Kantor, whom she had married September 2, 1951 and with whom she shared many happy years. Faye was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 5, 1927, daughter of the late Harry and Faye Sagor Berliner and Minnie Sagor Berliner. Faye enjoyed being a housewife and lived most of her life in New York, living briefly in West Virgina until moving to Lebanon County. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, Lebanon, Mental Health Board of Directors of Lebanon and Annville Home Study. While living in New York, she volunteered at New Rochelle Library, Mayor’s Transportation Committee, Bicentennial Committee for United States 200th birthday and Tercentennial Committee, New Rochelle, N.Y. 300th birthday. Faye is survived by her beloved children, Elizabeth Kantor-Bright, wife of Jeffrey Bright, Martinsburg, W.Va., Wynne, wife of Gary Sanchez, Marietta, Ga., Dr. Thomas, husband of Joni Zulko Kantor, Lebanon; beloved grandchildren, Naomi, wife of Adam Lerman, Mikaela, wife of Alex Torbert, Sarah, wife of Justin Blake, Rachel Bright, Meghan Nattrass, Joseph Kantor, Dana Kantor, Jenni Kantor, great-grandchildren, Paityn Skye, William Seymour; and her dearest sister, Iris Berliner Alster, Cornwall. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Faye’s graveside service on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Beth Israel Cemetery, 307 E. Maple St., Lebanon, PA 17046, with Rabbis Paula Reimers and Louis Zivic officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., Lebanon, Pa.
