Francis G. Miceli

Francis G. Miceli passed away peacefully on April 15, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.

Mr. Miceli was born on February 22, 1936 in New Rochelle, NY where he was raised, schooled (class of 54 of NRHS), settled as an adult and raised his family. He was the son of the late Louis and Sarah (Rella) Miceli. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary A. Miceli (nee’ Johnston), his sons Frank (Fran) and their children Marissa, Nicolette and Frankie, his son John and his children Noelle and Nicholas, his son Gerald (Carolyn) and their children Mia and Mark and a daughter Marianne Bulfamante (Anthony) and their children Maria and Frank. He is also survived by a brother Louis Miceli Jr. and a sister Mary Agnes Roberts. He was predeceased by his most beloved grandson, Justin Miceli and a brother Carlo.

Frank was the owner of the Miceli Contracting / Demolition Company and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 137. In addition, Frank was a licensed real estate broker, enjoyed painting and sculpting where he won numerous awards. He was an avid collector of antiques, art and a member of the New Rochelle and Mt. Vernon Art Associations. Frank’s hobbies included being a racing pigeon fancier. He was the Vice President of the Greenwich, CT Racing Pigeons Club. Frank enjoyed tending his vegetable garden and was most proud of his tomatoes “one of Westchester’s sweetest”. He enjoyed swimming, summers at Beckwith Pointe and dinners with his family around him. Pop, you will be dearly missed!

Visiting hours will be Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Pelham Manor, NY. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “Wings of Hope”.
