House Fire 80 South Division Street in New Rochelle

New Rochelle Fire Department was called to a early morning house fire at 80 South Division Street. Fire fighters arrived on the scene some time before 3:00 a.m. to heavy smoke and flames coming out of the second floor of a three family house. New Rochelle's best went to work right away and got the fire under control in a matter of minute's but the real time was about a half hour.

Personnel on the scene said one occupant of the house was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center for observation and there were no other injuries. The Fire Department responded with three engines and two ladder trucks. The fire was contained to the second floor. The Fire Department expected the tenants on the first and third floor would be able to return to there apartments once the fire department was done cleaning up the fire space. No firefighters were reported injured.
