Why: The central event of the annual Iona Scholarship Award Gala is the presentation of the Legacy Award for lifetime achievement and the Blessed Edmund Rice Humanitarian Award, which honors the founder of the Congregation of Christian Brothers and recognizes those who, by their activities and service to others, have reinforced Iona’s identity as a College founded in the tradition of the Christian Brothers and American Catholic higher education. All proceeds from this event benefit Iona College student scholarships.
