Iona was outshot 33-5 for the game, but they shots the Gaels attempted all applied pressure to the Red Foxes sophomore goalie Makala Foley.  The Gaels scored on their lone shot of the second half to start the scoring; sophomore Charlotte Stuart scored in her second consecutive game, heading in a goal from 11 yards out off a fantastic free kick feed from junior defensemen Emily Hansen at the 59:48 mark.

Marist answered the bell in the 73rd minute via the play of Glazer; she scored the first of her two off a 21-yard cross from sophomore forward Brianna Robinson.

Senior goalkeeper Taylor Rice made ten saves in goal for Iona, including two big stops in the first overtime.  The Maroon & Gold successfully defended against four Marist corner kicks, and overall played a very strong defensive game, limiting truly great scoring chances.
