Jefferson Elementary fourth graders dressed up June 16 as notable persons, according to the City School District of New Rochelle.

During the event, students posed as famous people and stood silently donning “press me” stickers on their clothing. When visitors pressed the “button,” the students recited biographical details about his or her character’s life, including the hardships he or she faced and the inventions he or she created.

Students researched facts about each historical person, wrote an essay about the person’s accomplishments, and crafted displays which featured their findings. Students chose a famous people they found interesting.
