NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Need fun activities to creatively engage the kids while out of school during spring break? Pelham Art Center offers enjoyable creative outlets for kids ages 3-12.  Choose from Travel the World! Art Camp for ages 3-7 and Collage It! for kids 8-12, and Digital Collage for ages 8-12, April 10-14.

Travel around the world and create art along the way! Explore cultures and exotic locales by making fun and creative art, and through storytelling and movement. Campers will experiment with all kinds of different art media to explore the globe, then create stories and games to the theme. Travel the World! Art Camp will run morning (9AM-1PM), afternoon (1:30PM-5PM), and full day camps (9AM-5PM), Monday-Friday, April 10-14, 2017.

In the afternoons, older students discover and experiment in collage by combining favorite photos, drawings, wrappers, mementos, papers, stamps, found objects and any other 2D materials of choice in Collage It!, Monday – Friday, 1:30PM – 4:30PM.  In Digital Collage, students will learn to use Photoshop to manipulate images, including their own drawings, to create themed artwork, Monday – Friday, 1:30PM-4:30PM.

While your kids are having fun, they are also improving social and motor skills, personal expression, visual communication and application for digital skills. Studies show that children involved in the arts improve academically.

PAC instructors are great teachers, as well as professional artists in their associated mediums – so inspiring children, youth and adults alike comes naturally.

Need-based scholarships are available to all students who qualify.
