Leslie D. McGregor, age 88, of Rock Hill, SC, formerly of Eastchester, NY, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, November 4, 2012, with his wife at his side.

Born November 25, 1923, in Bronx NY, to the late James and Gladys McGregor, Leslie grew up in New Rochelle, NY. He enjoyed 40 years as a letter carrier in his hometown of New Rochelle, exchanging pleasantries with residents as he walked his route. Leslie was a proud WWII Marine veteran who served in the Solomon Islands and participated in annual reunions with his unit, MABS-1, for many years. He was a long time, active member of the Scottish clans and Eastchester Presbyterian Church. Leslie enjoyed traveling and visited most of the 50 states, national parks and several countries with his wife.

He was dedicated to his family and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vany, children Tom (Jane) McGregor, Leslie (Steve) McGregor-Siegard and Jeanne (Tom) Snyder, grandchildren, Thomas and Katie McGregor, Adam Siegard, Patrick and Caroline Snyder, and his niece Lorraine McGregor.
