NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The #4 Monroe College men's soccer team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 7-0 victory over the Community College of Rhode Island in a game played in Warwick, Rhode Island on Wednesday. Three goals in the first 20 minutes of action keyed the victory.

Monroe got on the board in the tenth minute, when Lucas Vaz played a ball to Felipe Hideki, who blasted it home, bringing the score to 1-0. Three minutes later, Gabriel Machado's unassisted marker doubled the score. The final marker in the first 20 minutes of action came when Machado found Felipe Mendez, who slipped the ball past the keeper. Both teams were scoreless for the first part of the second half. The Mustangs finally broke through in the 75th minute, when Mardones connected with Jorge Paez for a goal. That was Paez's fourth goal this season. The final blow came in the 84th minute, when Mohamed Ndiaye scored his first goal as a Mustang. Monroe went on to win, 7-0.
