Men’s Swimming Defeats SJC-Brooklyn

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The men’s swim team picked up right where it left off, defeating St. Joe’s Brooklyn on Saturday, November 4 to remain undefeated on the season and improve their record to 3 – 0. The Blue Angels did so in convincing fashion, winning every event that was contested on the afternoon.

Freshman Kameron Westerberg took first in the 50yd Freestyle, breaking a school record. Westerberg also won the 100 Free. Sophomore Aaron Williams won the 200yd Freestyle and the 100yd Butterfly. Freshman Yashua Lockhart-Derry won the 100yd Backstroke and the 100 Individual Medley. Sophomore Robert Weyhrauch won the 100yd Breaststroke. Freshman Willie Rodriguez won the 500yd Freestyle. 

The Men’s 200yd Medley Relay of Yashua Lockhart-Derry, Aaron Williams, Kameron Westerberg, and Michael Pena picked up a first place victory. The Men’s Freestyle Relay of Pena, Marino Castillo, Willie Rodriguez and Robert Weyhrauch also brought in a first place finish.

The men return to action on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00 PM. The team will host Queensborough Community College at The College of New Rochelle’s Wellness Center.
