New Diner Lands at Site Near Home Depot in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Shortly after midnight the first part of the new diner created for the site in front of Home Depot in New Rochelle rolled out of the DeRaffele manufacturing plant on Palmer Avenue.

The first section to make the journey down Route 1 from the factory to the location at the corner of Weyman and Boston Post Road was the kitchen.

Unfortunately, the hamburgers, fries and shakes will still need to wait.

Two of the six sections were scheduled to be transported overnight. The other four will be moved to the site over the next two weeks.

The pre-fab diner was moved by a crew out of Long Island from New York Truck and Permit Escort, some of whom have moved diners for DeRaffele in the past.
