New Rochelle, NY -- Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, the executive search firm hired by the New Rochelle Board of Education, is now advertising for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
The compensation package is to be "consistent with the region and Westchester County".
Under the headline “Embracing Diversity: Driving Success”, the candidate sought is a "talented and visionary educational leader" and "accomplished educator with a proven record of elevating student achievement" who will "welcome the challenge of working in a complex and actively engaged community".
Screening and interviews will begin February 20, 2014.
In the ad, the District is described as having "a national award-winning high school of over 3,000 students in a superior facility which includes a performing arts theater, planetarium, and the only State-chartered museum located in a school building in New York State".

Additionally, there are two middle schools and six K-5 elementary schools that include two Magnet Schools. The District also offers its residents an Alternative High School and a Pre-K to Grade 2 Early Childhood Center. New Rochelle is classified as a “small city school district” under New York State Education Law.
