New Rochelle LWV Latest Cable TV Programs: New Rochelle HS Senior Leaders and Devron Chambers on My Brother’s Keeper Update

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Here is the schedule for the two newest interviews on “City People and Issues,” a cable television program sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New Rochelle. They will be shown on alternate weeks on Cablevision Channel 76 on Mondays at 7 pm, Wednesdays at 10 pm. Thursdays at 9:30 pm. They will later be shown on demand at www.vimeo.com.

Three accomplished young women graduating this June from New Rochelle High  School were interviewed by host Ina Aronow about their accomplishments, thoughts about their schooling and their future plans. They are Ana Acevedo, Sophia Rogers, and Sydney Jasper.  The interview program will be shown on Cablevision during the weeks of July 3 and 18, 2017.

Devron Chambers, webmaster for My Brother’s Keeper New Rochelle, part of a nationwide initiative started by President Obama,  which brings the community together to help youth, and in particular young at-risk black and Hispanic youth, from cradle to career. Chambers tells his story of growing up in New Rochelle to host Haina Just-Michael and how MBK would have helped him.  The program will be shown during the weeks of July 10 and 24.
