Corrections Officer Assaults Girlfriend: New Rochelle police were called to the scene of a physical altercation March 15. When police arrived, the complainant was crying and had red marks around her neck. She told police that her boyfriend had just beaten her up and choked her. She told police she has a son with the man. The woman said her boyfriend threw her on the couch and began choking her during an argument. She told police she had trouble breathing but did not lose consciousness. When she tried to call 911 he grabbed the phone, threw it against the wall and broke it, the report said. She said she then called her mother on her cell phone and she notified the police, the report said. She also said that during an earlier fight, her boyfriend threatened to kill her and burn down her place, according to the report. She told police her boyfriend is a black male, 6’3” tall, 280 pounds with short black hair. She said he fled on foot wearing all black clothing. She also told police her boyfriend works at the Woodfield Cottage, possibly as a corrections officer. Officers checked with the Woodfield Cottage and confirmed he is an employee at the facility, the police report said. The victim pursued charges and left the apartment with her son.
Husband Assaults Wife: Officers were called to Montefiore hospital to investigate an alleged assault that occurred at North Avenue March 11. The complainant told police that at approximately 7 a.m., she began arguing with her husband because he had not been paying the rent. The victim told police her husband punched her on the left side of her face. The victim had a minor cut on the top left side of her headthat wasn’t visible because of her hair, the police report said. She told police that she did not fear for her safety but wanted her husband out of the house. The woman did not press charges against her husband, the report said. Officers could not locate the suspect, the report said. Police referred the woman to family court to resolve the dispute, the report said.
Son Breaks in to His Mother’s Home: A New Rochelle woman’s home was allegedly burglarized by her son March 15. The victim told police her son entered her home and damaged several inside doors. The woman told police she had kicked him out of the house March 14 and told him not to return. When she came to her house around 1 p.m. March 15, she found the damaged doors and told police she smelled marijuana coming from the home. Her son had apparently locked himself inside a bedroom but left through the back door before police arrived, she said. She told police her son is homeless. He is about 5’7” tall, weighs 300 pounds, and has long facial hair, she told police. She told police that her son is an alcoholic and smokes marijuana. She wanted to pursue charges so that he could get help, the woman told police.
Boyfriend Assaults Girlfriend: A New Rochelle woman was assaulted by her boyfriend after breaking up with him March 15. When officers arrived, the victim’s lips were swollen and her mouth was bleeding, a New Rochelle Police report said. The victim told police she had a fight with her boyfriend last Friday. When she returned to the apartment to get her belongings, they began arguing again, she told police. When she told her boyfriend she was leaving, he became angry and punched her in the mouth with a closed fist, the police report said. The victim said she ran outside the building and called 911. Her boyfriend was last seen wearing a gray hat, gray jacket, blue jeans and army fatigue sneakers, the report said. He left in an unidentified vehicle, according to police. Police searched the area but could not locate the woman’s boyfriend, the report said.
Ex-husband Breaks into Woman’s Apartment: Officers responded to an apartment break in March 17, according to a New Rochelle Police report. According to the report, an unknown suspect allegedly broke through her apartment door before fleeing, the report said. The complainant told police the perpetrator was her ex-husband, against whom she had order of protection. When he saw her on the phone calling the police, he fled on foot, the police report said. She currently lives at the apartment with her son, she told police. Officers canvassed the area but could not find him, the report said. Police told the woman to call them immediately should her ex-husband return to the apartment, the report said.
Man Almost Falls for Survey Scam: A New Rochelle man almost became the newest victim of a pay for survey scam March 17, according to a New Rochelle Police report. The complainant told police while browsing the internet, he found a company named Cash Back Survey Research, which alleges to pay individuals for taking online surveys. He told police that after signing up for the offer, he received an email on March 15, which said that he was accepted as a surveyor and that he would soon be receiving a package containing his first survey and payments. On the morning of March 17, the complainant told police he received an instruction email. Later that day, the complainant told police he also received a package containing his first survey and a cashier’s check from Arrowhead Credit Union totaling $1,850. The package also contained instructions asking the man to survey the MoneyGram stand inside Walmart by using their service, the police report said. The complainant said the instructions directed him to deposit the check into his bank account and transfer $1,470 into an account of a person residing in Austin, Texas, the police report said. He said he was asked to use the phone number and email provided to contact the survey taker as soon as he completed the survey, the report said. The complainant however, told police that upon examining the check he realized that something was wrong. The man said he contacted the Arrowhead Credit Union and they told him that the check was fraudulent and they had no record of the transaction, the police report said. The complainant turned over all information to the New Rochelle Police Department.
Woman Loses $200 Money Order: A New Rochelle woman lost a $200 money order and told New Rochelle Police she believes someone stole it. The complainant told police she got the money order around 4:30 p.m. March 17 and then placed it in her pocket. However, when she returned home, she couldn’t find the money order. The complainant could not provide witnesses or a suspects to the police, the police report said.
Unknown Suspect Breaks in to Car, Steals Radio: New Rochelle Police responded to a report of a vehicle break in March 16. The complainant told police she parked her car around 8 p.m. March 15 at the location of the break in. When she returned the next day around 7:40 a.m., she found her car broken in to and her car radio, valued at $150, missing, the police report said. When she drove the vehicle, she heard a rattling sound in the back and discovered that her rear passenger side window was broken from the latch that secures it to the car, she told police. Officers told the complainant to save the photos she had taken of the damaged vehicle, the report said.
Thief Steals Car from Parking Lot: A New Rochelle man’s 2014 Lincoln MKZ was allegedly stolen from a parking lot March 16, according to recent police report. According to the victim, he parked his car inside a parking lot Jan. 2 on Union Avenue left for Pakistan. When he returned March 13, he realized that his car was missing. The complainant told police that his landlord may have towed his car, however, tow logs did not indicate that his vehicle had been towed, the police report said. The landlord denied knowing anything about the car, the police report said.
Woman Victim of Identify Theft: A New Rochelle woman became the victim of a loan scam March 15. The complainant told police she received a letter from the IRS telling her that she owed $4,665 for the 2015 tax year. The woman said that she hadn’t filed her 2015 tax return yet, the New Rochelle Police report said. The woman checked her credit report March 13 and learned that someone applied for a loan from Quicken Loans using her name, she told police. The address that was used on the application was not her address and she had never lived at that address, she told police. She notified the IRS and Quicken Loans, who told her that they will start investigating the matter, the report said. Although she didn’t suffer any monetary damage, she wanted to document the incident, she told police.
Unknown Suspect Steals Woman’s iPhone: A New Rochelle woman lost her cell phone March 13 at the Club Room. The complainant told police she left around 6:30 p.m. not realizing she had left her phone inside. When she returned, her phone was missing, she told police. A witness told the woman she saw someone take the iPhone but could not identify the person, according to the police report. Officers interviewed the witness, the report said. The witness told police she saw the woman leave her phone and later saw a black male enter the establishment but she told police she got busy doing paperwork. When she went to check on the phone, it was gone, the witness told police. The witness told police she believes the black man took the phone, according to the report. The officer asked a front desk employees about the suspect and received his name, the report said. The front desk employee told police that the person did not live at the location and they do not allow non-residents to enter the building. However, they said a working video camera at the location may have captured the theft.
BMW Side Mirror Missing: An unknown suspect allegedly stole the driver’s side mirror from a parked BMW March 11, according to a New Rochelle Police report. The complainant told police he parked his car on the Church Street Extension two weeks prior to the incident. He said the mirror was attached to the vehicle when he checked on his car at midnight March 6, the police report said. An officer verified that the piece of metal that holds the mirror and the casing were all that remained on the vehicle, according to the police report. The officer did not find debris on the ground to indicate the mirror had been knocked off, the report said.

Adriane Bracamonte, 30, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 18 and charged with one count of aggravated DWI, one count of operating a motor vehicle with 1 percent or more alcohol and one count of DWI previous conviction.
Joyce Williams, 21, of Mount Vernon, was arrested March 13 and charged with on one of DWI.
Ray Jack, 31 of Bronxville, was arrested March 13 and charged with two counts of DWI.
Andres A. Virguez, 20, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 12 and charged with one count of operating motor vehicle impaired by drugs.
Nicole S. Brock, 30, of New York City, was arrested March 12 and charged with two counts of DWI.
Alexandera Vasquez-Betances, 23, of New York City, was arrested March 11 and charged with one count of petit larceny and one count of possessing forged instrument.
Ryan R. Graham, 29, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 18 and charged with DWI.
Armando Rangel, 18, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 18 and charged with one charge of driving a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Bryan F. Brown, 18, of New Rochelle, was arrested March and charged with one count of CPSP 4 Vehicle Xcept Motorcycle.
Peter W. Babilsky, 46, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 17 and charged with one count of criminal possession of controlled substance.
Gregory A. Smith, 47, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 18 and charged with one count of criminal possession of controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of marijuana, fifth degree at a public place.
Nicola Wilson, 45, of New Rochelle, was arrested March 15 and charged with one count of criminal possession of controlled substance and one count of obstructing government administration, second degree.
