NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- As previously reported by Talk of the SoundVincent James “Little Jimmy” Bonanno, 34, was arrested on Friday May 27 shortly before 10 p.m. near the corner of Main Street and Harrison Street in New Rochelle. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Bonanno was arrested after he and other man were observed  engaged in “suspicious activity” in the area around Main Street and Harrison Street in downtown New Rochelle. A report filed by New Rochelle police stated they had “interrupted an illegal drug transaction”

After the other man was placed under arrest for being in possession of Heroin, Bonanno was questioned separately.

A police officer asked Bonanno if was in possession of any contraband.

"I might have a clip or a bag on me in my cigarette box,” said Bonanno, referring to marijuana or heroin, according to the report.

After his admission, Mr. Bonanno then voluntarily directed the officer towards his pants pocket where the officer retrieved a cigarette box containing 3 plastic straws, all of which had heroin and/or cocaine residue on them. The officer also located 1 glassine envelope containing heroin inside Bonanno’s pants pocket at which point Bonanno was placed under arrest.

Bonanno, who has a long history of drug involvement, is a delivery van operator for the City School District of New Rochelle.
