Obituary: Dawayne Cobb (1988 – 2012), Recent Iona College Grad

Dawayne Cobb, 24 of Bridgeport, CT, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Dawayne was born on July 1, 1988 in Stamford, CT, son of Eleanor Cobb and Fitzroy Lyle. He was raised by his great uncle, Leroy Cobb and his former wife, Annie Mae Cobb, and then with his foster parents, JoAnne and Michael Cobb. He graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport, CT where heplayed varsity football. Dawayne excelled academically and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York in 2010. After college, he was employed in sales for Power Home Remodeling Group.

Dawayne is also survived by his sister, Latesha Cobb; brother, Terrence Cobb; grandmother, Joanne Evans; aunt,Maxine (Stephen) Williamson; the Lyle family; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dawayne will be remembered for his wonderful big smile, generosity and love for his family.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Golden Hill United Methodist Church, 210 Elm Street, Bridgeport, CT 06605. The viewing will begin at 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Baker-Isaac Funeral Services
