Obituary: Marian Otis Pasciuti (1927 – 2012)

Marian Otis (Pasciuti) passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 7 at the age of eighty four. She was born on August 25, 1927 in New Rochelle, NY. Upon completing high school in New Rochelle, she worked for March of Time in New York. This was the company that produced the news reels that were shown in movie theaters through the 1950’s. She married V. James Pascuiti in 1948 and moved to Pound Ridge where she lived for the next fifty five years. Jim Pasciuti passed away also on August 7, forty years ago to the day in 1972. Marian enjoyed working at Schellings Market for many years. She is survived by her four children (Paul, Sandra, Jim, and Marian), five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was active in the Pound Ridge Community Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She researched and wrote the geneology of Alexander Gordon, her original Scots ancestor in the colonies, who emigrated in 1652. Since 2003, she spent one year living in Vermont with her son Jim and eight years in Helena, Montana with her son Paul. She passed away in Helena loved and cared for.

There will be a memorial service at the Pound Ridge Community Church on Saturday, September 15 at 1:00 pm. All are welcome.
