Optical Scan Voting Machine Demonstration Tuesday at City Hall

The City of New Rochelle in partnership with the Westchester County Board of Elections will host a series of demonstrations in New Rochelle on Tuesday, August 31 at the City Hall Annex Conference Room B-1, 90 Beaufort Place.

The new Optical Scan voting machines replace the old lever machines and will be in use for the Primary Election on September 14 and all elections thereafter. Demonstrations will be given on the hour every hour from 10 am-1 pm and 2 pm-7pm and will consist of a brief presentation followed by actual usage by attendees. Sample ballots with varying scenarios will be available for the public to experience firsthand.

The County will hold additional demonstrations at the Westchester County Center on Thursday, September 9 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, October 3 from 1-3 pm.
