Sammy Melillo Passes

 Sammy Melillo, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on September 16, 2014. He was 74.
 Sammy was born on June 8, 1940 in New Rochelle, to the late Samuel and Evelyn (Lanzilotte) Melillo.
 Sammy was the owner of Sammy’s Bar in the West End of New Rochelle for many years.
 
 He is survived by his wife the former Phyllis Panico whom he married on October 15, 1972; his daughter StacyAnn Melillo-Keiler and her husband David; his son Mickey Melillo; his grandchildren Zachary, Samantha and Jaxon. He was predeceased by his aunt Yolanda “Dickie” Lancelot. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan who will be missed by his many lifelong friends and extended family.
 
 Visiting Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. Mass Saturday 9:30am at Holy Name Church. Interment at Beechwoods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Butterflies from Jodie, 31 President Street, New Rochelle, NY.

    I met Sammy when came home from law school and got involved in New Rochelle politics over 20 years ago. Sammy loved New Rochelle and had many loyal friends here. My best to his very nice family. Sorry for your loss.
