Sound Shore Medical Center Appoints Faculty Practice Physician

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Sound Shore Medical Center (SSMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Image003Anna Kazanskaya, MD to its Faculty Practice in Internal Medicine, located at 830 Pelhamdale Avenue, New Rochelle, NY. In her new position, Dr. Kazanskaya will bring her expertise, healthcare philosophy and caring to patients 18 years of age and older.

Commenting on the recent appointment, President and CEO, John R. Spicer said, “Dr. Kazanskays’s appointment to Sound Shore’s Faculty Practice ensures a seamless transition that maintains the tradition of excellence established by Nobuku Sera-Kingsley, MD”. He continued, “We are pleased that Dr. Kazanskaya is now providing her expertise for patients of the Pelhamdale Avenue practice.” He concluded, “Dr. Kazanskaya is a strong addition to the practice where her future plans include offering House Calls for those individuals who qualify as homebound under the Medicare definition.”

Dr. Kazanskaya is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Petrozavodsk State University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Kazanskaya was then awarded a prestigious Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon completion, she returned to the Northeast and was in private practice for five years before returning to New Rochelle and accepting a medical staff position at Sound Shore Medical Center. Dr. Kazanskaya has practiced medicine in the New Rochelle area since 2001 and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York Medical College.
