Talk of the Sound TV: The Mystery of Huguenot Hills

ShareThis

Huguenot Hills is a very odd mixed-used condo/retail development on Main Street in New Rochelle. Robert Cox of Talk of the Sound TV sets out to understand the mystery behind the lack of gutters and leaders on the front of the building, the tangle of wires in front of the windows and just who signed off on this illegal construction.

Hopefully the exposure will force the city to give Bob Young violations which in turn will cause Mr. Young to dip into his pocket and correct the problem asap which as it currently exists leave Young, the architect, builder, home owners association and the city at peril. Secondly the paper trail should expose the building inspector who signed off as a fraud, co-conspirator or at the very least for their malfeasance.

Title: violations

The violations probably would go to the individual home owners. It is their units
that are in violation. They would have to take it up with the builder and the city.

Mr. Cox,

Is your agenda to have the thing fixed or place blame on someone?

I ask, because I am for positive improvement. I am not looking to lay blame on everyone all along the way. These kinds of negative attacks only further produce negative results. It's a problem, it will get fixed. If it gets fixed the person whose error it was will surely learn of this and receive feedback. Will he/she be fired? Probably not. It is positive to bring change, but change doesn't necessitate dragging people through the mud.

I gather that you agree that the building should be fixed. The City has known about this since 2006 and done nothing about it. So....

This is not a "problem" or the result of an "error" that "will get fixed" and some sort of learning opportunity requiring a feedback session.

This is an intentional disregard for the City and State building code. It has been going on for four years.

Determining who was responsible for allowing this to happen is not dragging people through the mud it is find out who is responsible and determining why those responsible turned a blind eye to such an obvious failure.

My "agenda" as you put it is to hold public officials accountable for their actions (or lack thereof).

Why Don't you stop by City Hall like a man and find out for yourself, instead of hiding behind a screen name. I don,t think you have the guts Don.

Last Comment: I will not lower myself to your standers anymore, with your petty war of words. Why don't you use your useless time to help New Rochelle instead of trying to hurt people. You don't have to write back because iI won't read your dribble.
