NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Thruway Authority today announced a shift in traffic configuration between I-95 exit 15 (New Rochelle –US Route 1) northbound and the New Rochelle toll plaza to accommodate road rehabilitation work on the Kings Highway, Cross County Connection and Cedar Street bridges.
The adjustment to the northbound traffic configuration will shift the right and center lanes to the right, allowing for repair of the remaining bridge surfaces. There will be occasional adjustments to this configuration as work progresses.
Motorists should expect nighttime lane closures from 11:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19 to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, and 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20 to 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21 to install the new configuration.
In case of inclement weather, work may be postponed.
The Thruway Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.
