Valentina Pryce Obituary

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Valentina Pryce (nee Acocella), age 59, died peacefully at her home in New Rochelle, on Thursday, June 2, 2016 after a short battle with brain cancer. Born April 14, 1957, she lived in New Rochelle for her entire life. She worked as a preschool teacher at Westchester Ethical Culture Nursery School for nearly 20 years. Valentina was Troop 1873’s Girl Scout Leader. A graduate of New Rochelle High School and Buffalo State University, Valentina was an avid reader, rapid finisher of crossword puzzles, and lover of turtles.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Greg, her children Matthew (Gabi), Shanna (David), and Thomas, her father Valentino Acocella, her sisters Madelyn (Fugazy) and Christine (Bua), her beloved grandchildren Amelia and Nicholas, and legions of friends, extended family, students and surrogate children who’s lives she touched. She was predeceased by her mother Victoria Marie Acocella (nee Mandarano) in 2013.
