Westchester County Website Hacked, Closed Until Further Notice

WestchesterCo SiteHackedThe web site for Westchester County in New York was hacked. The site is currently closed for maintenance. A notice about the incident was sent to county workers.

The site was hacked following the installation of a third-party extension to the Joomla software which is used as the content management system for the county web site. No information was available on possible losses of confidential data.

    What the hell are the people of this county paying for?
    There are people being paid big money to avoid this they are called I T people.Well i ask where the hell are they.
    MR. Astrino you say do more with less use the internet etc etc, well if your county web site is down since Thursday what the hell are people to do?
