NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle's Jah-Leah Ellis fell an assist short of the program's first triple-double, tallying 15 points and game-highs of 22 rebounds and nine assists as the Blue Angels posted a 68-37 HVIAC win over Vaughn College tonight at the Wellness Center.
Ellis was one of four Blue Angels in double figures, as she was joined by Alyssa Pechin (14 points, six assists), Caitlin Harrison (12 points, 13 rebounds) and Hannah Cambel (12 points).
Vaughn was led by Cianna Peterson's 20 points, but the CNR defense held the conference leading scorer (27.2 ppg) to just 8-36 shooting from the floor (22.2%) and 2-19 (10.5%) from beyond the arc. For the game, the Warriors converted just 17.9% (14-78) of their field goals.
