Homeowner Near Downtown New Rochelle Has “No Bid” for Metered Parking Changes

bid.jpgElizabeth Lewin of New Rochelle Has written a Letter to the Editor: (“New Rochelle treats residents unfairly”) responding to the announcement that the Mayor expects the City Council to approve most or all of the BID’s parking task force recommendations.

She notes that Ralph DiBart who runs the Business Improvement District and led the task force is quoted saying “The main purpose is trying to balance competing parking needs and to try to encourage people to park where they’re supposed to park.”

She then asks:

In the article a resident states he “will look for local street parking to avoid paying.” How does this task force expect to encourage residents to “park where they’re supposed to park?” Further, what is DiBart’s definition of “where they’re supposed to park”?
