New Rochelle City Hall Crime-Busting Style Positively "Nixonian!"

Tonight's criminal outburst has shocked the community.  In defiance of claimed statistical improvements in crime indices, a recent murder-suicide and other seemingly random outbreaks have cast a pall over our struggling downtown, and again earned it unwanted attention from regional and national media.

Does the City Code Actually Mean What it Says?

Barack Obama has recently been described by a well-known pundit as being an exceptional Commander in Chief when it pertains to covert operations and much less so regarding overt or conventional operations. He went on to say that Obama doesn't play particularly well with others and is much more comfortable under conditions where he can deliberate and make decisions behind close doors. I think this is right; his successes regarding the assassination of Bin Laden, drone strikes in Pakistan, and Libya point to this.

Bob Marrone made a point about Noam Bramson in the latest issue of the Sound Report extolling Noam's extraordinary intellectual gifts and indicating that he, too, seems more comfortable in situations where he does not have to demonstrate gregarious behavior; in short, preferring to be more introverted than extroverted. I think he is right as well and explains a feeling I have expressed that Noam has unlimited potential but seems to lack some important command components that would elevate this potential into outstanding performance.

R.I.P. New Rochelle

The City of New Rochelle passed on November 8, 2011. Since 1992, New Rochelle had fell ill. Political leaders have slowly bled the life from this once great City. Major thoroughfares, once lined with prosperous businesses now sit desolate. A once great school system now plagued with substandard administrators and inadequate educators. Respected City officials have been replaced with the most corrupt, thieving, nepotistic, two-faced politician ever to roam the earth.

On November 8th, New Rochelle voters officially sealed the faith of New Rochelle. Our corrupt mayor Noam Bramson along with the four elected democrat council members now hold a super majority voting power, which means the mayor will pretty much bankroll anything he wants with no interferences from anyone. With a super majority, Bramson can now override the property tax cap that Govenor Cuomo set into place to protect NY State property owners.

Bramson’s Scheme to Over-Ride Cuomo’s Tax-Cap Will Saddle New Rochelle With Large Post-Election Tax Increase

QUESTION:WHY DOES MAYOR BRAMSON WANT ONLY DEMOCRATS ON CITY COUNCIL?

ANSWER: SO HE CAN CIRCUMVENT GOVERNOR CUOMO'S NEW TAX CAP AND RAISE YOUR PROPERTY TAXES BEYOND THE 2% CAP!

The Bramson Campaign is actively campaigning to stack the City Council with only Democrats.

Many voters have been contacted by the Bramson Campaign to blindly vote along Party lines this year without thought.

What the Bramson Campaign is NOT TELLING YOU is that Bramson needs you to elect a supermajority of Democrats to City Council so that they can override Governor Cuomo’s Property Tax Cap, which is protecting you, the property owner, from onerous property tax increases.

On June 30, 2011, Governor Cuomo signed into law legislation that caps your property taxes at a 2% increase. This tax cap can be overridden by a super-majority vote of council.  If the Mayor is successful, he and his disciples will override the property tax-cap in New Rochelle and raise your taxes to support his political agenda.

I don't care who the opponent is, it is time that the ten dollar word using, über elitist, wanna be dictator, but PART TIME MAYOR be taken down from his perch.

Enough is enough. I can laundry list his accomplishments, or lack there of, but his smug egomaniacal, inefficient brand of local political leadership has to end!

This is why term limits need to be a reality. Not only would they free up the specter of political machine partisan politics, they would foster the development of truely independent, not party controlled candidates on both sides of the aisle.

St Paul might have visible warts, that could call into question elements of his character. But I implore you not to take the allegations at face value. Does a star athlete need to be an upstanding father or husband to produce in his arena? And what about Gnome and his private life? Is it as germane as it appears? Or is his utopian existence merely a facade? I could care less!! What I do care about is advancing this city forward. And hope to do so with a changing of the guard.

The Courage to Run, the Desire to Serve: Kevin Barrett

Everyone knows someone who has a lot to offer the community.
You may even think the person would be a great elected official. But most people who have a lot to say about their community and great leadership qualities, do not run for office. Their main reason: they are too busy with work and family or fearful of public speaking.
No doubt, that can be an issue. Because it takes courage to stand up and run for public office.
In September, I won the Independence Party primary. My opponent clearly had no interest in getting more than six votes. He is even quoted in the newspaper saying the Independence Party line is “not critically important.” Yet, while having his name on Bramson’s signs, he claims to be “independent.” The fact is the Bramson family has guaranteed my opponent’s loyalty by contributing $2,000 to his campaign fund. End of story.
My opponent has been here for 20 years and has never held public office and is barely known outside of Glenwood Lake. But he wants you to vote for him because he has been here longer. I believe the criterion for electing a public official should be based on experience and the ideas the candidate presents.
