10-10-10 Project: UPDATE

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

Last Sunday dozens of photographers fanned out throughout New Rochelle and took thousands of photographs as a part of the 10-10-10 Project: A Day in the Life of New Rochelle. Now almost one week later, we are seeing the uploads and are receiving the DVDs and CDs as we had hoped. Thanks to all who participated! Here are a few sample photos —

Some photographers have asked for an extension on the due date of today, October 15th, 2010. We will therefore keep the upload facility open for the duration of the weekend and plan on choosing photos fairly quickly. Register to upload and upload your photos here: http://www.101010nr.com

As of now we have received thousands of photographs from dozens of photographers. Subjects range from dog walkers, kayakers, fisherman, soccer players, baseball teams, people buying ice cream, people working at Ward Acres, turtles at Pinebrook Lake, downtown signage, skateboarders, Yankee fans, firemen at a ceremony, people leaving churches, sunbathing, metal detecting and the list goes on.

The feedback from the event has been wonderful. Residents made it a family project with parents and their children taking photos.

We hope to have the online presentation up within two or three weeks and be taking book orders by the Thanksgiving parade!
